What are the advantages of recycled materials?

The production of recycled materials such as rPet (recycled polyester) consumes 33% to 53% less energy than the production of virgin polyester. Furthermore, rPet produces approximately 54.6% fewer CO2 emissions than virgin polyester .

By using recycled materials to make our clothing, such as the recycled all-over print swim shorts, at least some of the plastic waste generated does not end up in landfills.

What is rPet?

Recycled polyester (rPET) is a fabric made from previously used synthetic fibers. By repurposing these existing materials (e.g., plastic bottles and packaging), which still retain all the properties and performance characteristics of regular polyester, it offers a more sustainable fabric alternative .

How is recycled polyester produced?

Recycled polyester is made by shredding plastic products into small pieces. These small pieces are then processed into yarn, converted into fiber, and finally into fabric.
